I was accepted to study abroad at the University of New South Wales almost a year ago – but today, for the first time, I had this surreal feeling that I am actually going to be a student in Australia for four months.
When we booked the flight I started to feel it happening, but this morning was a true wake-up call. I was notified by e-mail that I have been enrolled into four classes, six credits each, and suddenly it’s all coming together:
The four classes I am taking are: Organisational Behaviour (MGMT1002), International Business Finance (FINS3616), Consumer Behaviour (MARK2051), and Indigenous Australia (ATSI1011). It comes out to one business core, one finance elective, one marketing elective, and a cultural diversity class.
I might have to change a few classes around – and I might switch one of the business classes to a more fun elective – but for now I am officially enrolled in classes at the university.
