June 28, 2009 – Yankees 4, Mets 2
This was such a unique game. It was a Yankees/Mets game on Sunday Night Baseball, right after I graduated high school. Mariano Rivera was going for his 500th save.
Not only did he get it, but he also batted in the ninth inning. It was an incredibly rare thing to see, and something that could only happen in a National League park.
Of course, he came up with the bases loaded. And, impossibly, he walked and picked up his only career RBI.
