Pines of Rome

We played a lot of good music back in my high school band days. Respighi’s Pines of Rome (specifically the last movement, Pines of the Appian Way) was one of my favorites. Some friends and I took a trip into the city last summer to see the New York Philharmonic play the entire piece. It is one of the most epic pieces of music out there. I still get chills every time I listen to it.
